Advantages: Plane was clean and well ventilated

Disadvantages: Took to long to apologise for flight delay

Just returned from Tenerife flying with Monarch from Luton. First time using this airline and this airport, lots of experience with other major scheduled airlines.

I needed wheelchair assistance and found the airline staff to be very helpful, and the simplest service so far to book in my elecetric scooter to take with me.

We booked extra leg room seats at extra cost and this was money well spent as this was the most comfortable flight I have ever taken (BA and Virgin please take note!).

Only downside was although we selected which seats we wanted on line there was no explanation that the rows were staggered meaning that for our party of four my husband was not sat across the aisle from me even in the same number row.

Didn't eat on board myself but my daughter had a toasted bacon sandwich and said this too was a big improvement on usual airline food.

On the way back we had nearly an hours delay due to a technical problem with the plane but we were about an hour into the flight before anyone apologised for the delay, fortunately we made up quite a lot of this time on the journey back due to strong winds.

Overall quite impressed and would definitely use this service again.

Summary: Extra leg room well worth the extra cost
