Advantages: cheap good meals

Disadvantages: very cramped and uncomfortable

I have flown with monarch once which was from gatwick to dalaman in turkey.

Our flights were both night flights and the flight time was 4 hours.

our check n both ways went without a hitch and we were called through on tme both times and departed on time both ways.

The plane was clean and tidy and i found the staff to be helpfull and polite and answered all our question without sounding like we were bothering them.

The seating was very cramped and my husband of 6ft had to request and aisle seat so that he could straighten legs and move them a little. getting up to use the bathroom was like a shuffle puzzle as there was really only room for one i the aisle and no room to get passed. being a night flight it made sleeping very uncomfortable and i was very glad it was 4 hours and not a minute longer.

The food was hot when served and tasty and was surpisingly filling,a dn the coffe was good and hot.

All of that said i would fly with them agin because the price was cheap and as long as you expect budget flights ie cramming as many in as possible you wont be dissapointed i see it as a nessesary evil to get to where you want to go,
