A great low cost airline! (Monarch Airlines)

Advantages: Cheap, good service.

Disadvantages: None that I can think of.

Last year I flew with Monarch airlines and I had quite a good experience with them so I thought I would share it in a review!

Firstly, Monarch are a low cost airline, and they have four main bases in the UK, at Gatwick, Luton, Manchester and Birmingham. This is quite good because it means that much of the country is within easy reach of one of their main bases!

Monarch fly to quite a few destinations, including Cyprus, Spain and Portugal.

I flew with them from London Gatwick to Larnaca. I had chosen them because they were the cheapest provider on the route I wanted. I expected something like Easyjet or Ryanair, what with them being a low cost airline, so I wasn't expecting much! However, I was pleasantly surprised!

First of all, I thought that the aircraft was in good condition, and inside it was clean. I'm sure that they haeve to operate a lot of flights and that they don't get much turnaround time, so I am always pleased when this is not apparent! I felt that way with Monarch- the floor had been cleaned, the seats were clean, as were the bathrooms, and there was no rubbish in the seat pocket in front.

I thought that the staff were pleasant and helpful, and focused. Unfortunately we were delayed taking off from Gatwick, but the pilot kept us informed of what was happening. I thought that this was very courteous and it is something that you don't always get.

Despite the late take off, we arrived in Larnaca only a little bit later than we should have, so we must have made up time on the way.

They are having a sale on at the moment and I was thinking of going on holiday again so I might just fly with them again!

Summary: Another destination beckons with Monarch!
