Monarch gets you from A to B (Monarch Airlines)

Disadvantages: Not the most spacious of seats

I recently travelled with Monarch from London Gatwick to Sharm El Sheikh on an A300 and must say that even though the plane wasnt the biggest I have ever been, I still found it one of the best flights I have been on. The air hostesses were friendly and helpful, the food was ok and the flight was smooth, both inbound and outbound.

I found that Monarch are very strict on case weights, this can soon cause a very long and somewhat slow moving queue at the check in desk, if you are over your 20 kg weight especially for Egypt they charge you.

Monarchs check in desk at London Gatwick is staffed by polite and helpful members of staff who I also feel are quite accommodating in terms of allowing you to pick your seat, order vegetarian/special in flight meals and so on, I feel that they make more time for you and your needs than other airlines.

On board on the flight to Egypt with Monarch there was in flight entertainment (music and tv) however if you are not located in the centre of the plane you may find it difficult to see the TV, and as with most planes and airlines not all the radios/music players work. All in all I found Monarch to be a good airline to travel with and I would definately book with them again in the future
