I recently travelled on a Monarch flight with my family from Manchester to Sharm el Sheikh and back (4th to 11th June) and the staff on the plane are absoutely fantastic but the plane and seating is a joke! It is a shame as we have never come across such nice staff but the seating is basically "shite"! I am not 6 foot but I had to get up many times to stretch my legs and the stewardesses get stressed due to you being in the aisle. I have travelled the world extensively with my job and I will not sit in another Monarch Airline seat. You travel for 6 hours and the headrest is too low/soft and your knees are squashed. Airines should be prosecuted for this but they won't be! I had a work colleague, a really nice guy who died from DVT last year, returning from a holiday to California. He was taken ill off a flight at Heathrow and died 1 hour later. Health and safey on planes is a joke!
