Monarch airlines I flew to Maldives with Monarch last year and we booked it as a package holiday with a travel agent and flying with Monarch was the cheapest at £750 for the holiday for the week. Our flight flew directly from London which was handy because I hate having to change flights. The flight took us around 10 hours to get there ... Read the complete review

Just returned from Tenerife flying with Monarch from Luton. First time using this airline and this airport, lots of experience with other major scheduled airlines. I needed wheelchair assistance and found the airline staff to be very helpful, and the simplest service so far to book in my elecetric scooter to take with me. We ... Read the complete review

We had serious problems with Monarch Airlines on the outbound and return flights. On both occasions they experienced "technical problems" with their planes causing delays and badly-communicated changes of arrangements. As a relatively inexperienced flyer, I found this quite unsettling. Worst of all, the aircraft used for the ... Read the complete review

My husband and I have travelled to Goa with Monarch for the last number of years. We usually upgrade to Premium (because of the extra baggage allowance and slightly more comfortable seats) and overall our experiences have been good. Monarch staff same as all airline staff - some good, some bad. Last year on our outward journey my husband felt ill ... Read the complete review

awful airline for long haul - no drinks offered - I paid for extra leg room and this just does not exist on theie aircraft buy they still took £120 - staff awful and plane faling to bits - went to Maldives on 13 hr flight - worst airline I have ever used - will avoid at all costs in future -cabin crew staff were even complaing that they would never fly Monarch as so awful , they must pay peanuts to the staff cos they most certainly are monkeys they employ - I would rather cancel an exsiting holiday than ever fly MOnarch again

Monarch Airlines are brilliant and I use them all the time flying out from Luton to Spain. They have a fleet of 32 planes and they provide charter flights of the best quality you can get. They are better than EasyJet and Ryanair, and sometimes cheaper to fly with! If you can find cheaper flights with Monarch, I would highly recommend flying with ... Read the complete review

I flew from Dublin to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt with Monarch Airlines last January. The outward flight was fine, my family and I did not get seated together but we didnt really expect to because check in at Dublin Airport was so slow (as per usual!). BACKGROUND In Jan 2006 we booked a holiday with Thomas Cook, due to some work being carried out on the beach where we were staying they advised us to cancel our holiday with a full refund and book something else. To all you moaning minnies, who obviously don`t use airlines very much , only charters.
Try flying Monarch on one of their scheduled flights, I use them every month to Gibraltar from Luton. Never had a problem never delayed and service adequate.
And the cost is good value, sometimes £69:00 return inclusive of taxes. It costs more by train to Manchester one way! and the travel time is about the same.

I am disgusted by MONARCH saying they will be charging for ALL hold baggage you were different before never the cheapest but I paid extra for the service you gave. I will not be using you again (after my existing bookings have been used)and I hope and feel sure your other regular passengers will do the same then you may reconsider when your ... Flew to Orlando Sanford with Monarch return and had a perfect experience. Was in economy and at 5' 8" I found the seating room adequate, flew on a new Airbus a320-200. Flew Monarch to Malaga from Luton with 5 friends we paid £60 extra for specific seats because of a very nervous flier, guess what moved 10 rows back. When I asked for my £60 back I was near enough told take it or leave it.Now I cant even get a reply from their customer services. The airline stinks.I would say stick with Easy Jet.

Monarch airlines from Cardiff to Sanford Florida...apart from starting off cheap it was a joke...was delayed 4 hrs 30mins at start with no explanation. Flight out was cramped & packed in. Upgraded on way back & wrong price quoted, overcharged & no replies to complaint letters. Never flying Monarch again! Customer service was a joke to them. Spend a little more cos in the long term it pays off!
