Advantages: freindly staff, prompt departures

Disadvantages: overcrowded, cramped

We flew to Turkey with Onur air this year. I will start by adressing the positive points. The staff were lovely the hosts and hostesses were lovely with everyone on board and could not do enough for you. I was flying with my five year old son and one year old daughter and they made a great fuss of the children everytime they went past. The flight was good and we all felt safe and secure through the flight. On the way back they showed videos on the televisions which were basically like turkish adverts burt it kept the kids enteartained a lot better than on the way there. The outbound and return flights departed promptly and there was communication from the captain regularly through the flight although his english was not perfect but hardly feel that should count against him.

The plane itself was however very cramped and very hot on the way there and very cold on the way back. As I have said there was no in flight entertainment on the way there and very little on the way back. But in fairness we had a family holiday for 4 people easter week for £700 so for the money we paid I felt the service was acceptable and the friendly staff compensated for the lack of comfort.

Summary: A budget airline but did the job.
