The man who flew OrenAir says "Da!" (Orenburg Air)

OrenAir (formerly known as Orenburg Air) is a Russian airline that serves thge cities of Moscow, St Petersburg, Orenburg and Orsk (amongst others). My experiences of them have been on the Moscow Domodedovo-Orenburg route.

The last flight I took with them was back in February 08. Domodedovo has undergone a huge refurbishment programme in the last few years (that's a separate review), and I was able to check in for my flight soon after arriving at the airport, which is a boon, as I could then sit down for a rest, browse the shops and use the other facilities before going for the flight.

They usually board passengers using buses at Domodedovo that take you from the gate to the plane.

They've now got Boeing 737-500 and -800 planes that are slowly replacing their old Tu-154/134 planes, so the flights on these are more comfortable and relaxing.

Because this flight's only 2 hours long, there's no in-flight movie, etc., but they do serve drinks and a snack (usually like a bread roll, cold meat and some fruit).

The announcements were done in both Russian and English, which is a good thing especially as my Russian's very limited, but I think this may be an IATA rule now.

The fares aren't too bad value for money, especially if you can get a Russian friend to buy and send your ticket(s) to you, although you can buy the tickets through the East Line ticket agency website, linked from the Domodedovo Airport website.
