flew to Corfu on their newest aircraft Spirit of Peter Bath 737/500 (so disregard the comment about only one aircraft).The aircraft has leather seats and good legroom.Unlike some budget airlines you are NOT charged for baggage ,online booking /checkin etc and yes the service is personal.The culture is good service , value and a pleasant flight/holiday.You can see they have a loyal custumer base and range incl families.The aircrew are helpful -friendly informative announcements by the pilot throughout the flight.Cabin crew have a wide age range.On flight meals are incl and can cater for special diets though i would say that like most flight meals it could do with enhancement(Jamie Oliver please note!!)Their reps at resorts are locally recruited and speak greek (or Italian when we went to Sorrento last year)and they do assist greatly when you arrive at the airprt incl checkin .Their hotels do not disappoint and lent themselves to a relaxed break.Peter Bath their founder and former MD who sadly died a few years ago was quite a special person and was/ still is affectionally remembered by staff&passengers alike-remember this was one of the innovators of the package deal in the 50s.Go to you tube and see the naming of the the new jet(Palmair bucking the trend in the recession!!) and you will see the loyalty/sincerity.
Bournemouth airport is now part of Manchester airport group and is expanding and construction work is ongoing however it has a lot going for it-when you arrive at the luggage carousel the luggage is there(unlike majors where you can wait 1/2 hr to find out which carousel to go to!!)Bournemouth Airport is next to the main spur road9A338) into Bournemouth so is accessible by road
