Newest Review: ... check in there was no reason why they could not have sat us together, luckily thy asked another passenger to move which they were happy to do, as I am a nervous flyer at the best of times! This was the only glitch we had. The staff on board were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of TV programmes and films to watch. The food was good and I was impressed there was a choice of food and staff were happy to bring you drinks at any time. We had no delays on any of our flights. After research Qatar airways was the best value, although there were cheaper options when we took into account the length of the other stop overs and worse reviews fo... more

My mother and I were the second people to check in at Heathrow and requested seats together (after being told we could not pre-book them) however when we went to board we noticed we were at the other end of the plane from each other. The staff said there was nothing they could do, however we pointed out that as we were second to check in there was no reason why they could not have sat us together, luckily thy asked another passenger to move which they were happy to do, as I am a nervous flyer at the best of times! Premium Review Never Again! (356 words)

Cabin Appearance: Clean Presentable Service at departure airport: Regular with no glitches, infact extremely co-operative check-in staff who helped me get good seats and confirm my child's meal! Plus the staff at LHR also gave passengers with kids priority so we could get on board conveniently! Seats: What you would expect in all economy classes so no different from any other, in fact maybe a bit worse. Meals: Although they provided a menu card and asked to choose options beforehand, the trolley was already out of all chicken choices halfway down and the beef option as many fellow passengers complained was undercooked. Kid's meal was ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Qatar Airways: If only Doha Airport wasn't so awful... (411 words)

My only flying experience with Qatar Airways was a very satisfactory one, and I would not hesitate in flying with them again. Booking online was quick and easy; I found the best deal for flights using the handy '+/- 3 days' option, and paid just under £500 for return flights from Manchester to Singapore. At the time of booking, I also signed up for the Privilege Club; Qatar's loyalty system seemed to afford generous privileges after flying on just one flight (i.e. 10KG extra luggage allowance). Check-in at Manchester was quick since I'd checked in online the night before; the whole process took little more than 3 minutes from start to finish. The ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Definitely 5 star! (485 words)

After reading so many negative reviews of Qatar Airways I felt compelled to write a decent review and stick up for them! I flew with Qatar from London Heathrow to Doha and then onto Bangkok. I had an amazing experience with them in economy. FOOD I was surprised to be offered a choice of food for main courses, even for Breakfast! (maybe I'm just used to budget airlines!) Sometimes the choice was actually really hard to make, because both options sounded pretty good. Breakfast was really filling- a yoghurt, croissant with jam and butter, bread/bagel with cream cheese, main dish (crepes/frittata for my flight), water and a fruit ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Qatar Airways: "World's 5 star airline": 5 stars? For what!? I'd rather fly ... (413 words)

I took a flight with Qatar Airlines in early 2008 to Bangkok via Doha, and to put it bluntly, was the worst long haul flight I ever took! Qatar is supposedly a five star airline. This is something I find perplexing as my experiences on the two flights I was unfortunate enough to take with them was less than five star! The staff at the check-in desk at London Gatwick airport were very friendly and my first impressions were rather good. That was until I boraded the aircraft and went to take my seat. I must say that on both flights I took, the first to Doha then the on the connecting flight to Bangkok, I felt like a sardine. It must be one ...  Read the complete review
