I have flown with Royal Jordanian twice from London to Amman and back again. I have never had a bad experience with them at all and would always recommend them to other people. I remember being nervous the first time I flew to Jordan, I had heard some things about the Country and I couldn't decide whether I was going to like it or not (I was visiting a Friend there). Contempt for passengers (206 words)

On a flight to Bangkok via Amman we were diverted to an unnamed military airport. Despite informing the cabin crew that we had a connection to make we waited aboard the aircraft for over two hours. We were then dumped on the tarmac in the bitter cold and then given the choice of waiting in the cold or in a smoke filled room. Nobody from Royal Jordanian. Eventually our passports were taken away. Then told we were to catch a bus to Amman. When we got outside the bus went without us. Waited several more hours in another room. Again no-one from RJ there. Luggage that was checked through to Bangkok was found, by chance, in a pile in a corner. Eventually, after a six ...  Read the complete review

Royal Jordanian Airlines: Would Never Fly Again! (815 words)

The horror that was our experience with Royal Jordanian Airlines began on December 20, 2007. James and I arrived at the Chicago O'Hare International Airport, ready to board our 9:10PM flight to Amman, Jordan. Checking in, we learned that the airline overbooked its Hajj-season flights, allotting a five-hour delay to our schedule. Immediately, we expressed concern for making our connecting flights to Delhi (Royal Jordanian), Bangalore (Jet Airways), and Trivandrum (Jet Airways). A confident Royal Jordanian representative assured us that the airline would not only hold our flight to Delhi but would definitely see us through Trivandrum. Relatively calm, we departed ...  Read the complete review

Flew them only once, and I said to my self, never again, and 'Friends dont let friends fly Air Jordan'. Both the cabin crew and the ground staff were rude, un-professional and know-nothing-but-act-smart kind of people. We were on transit through Amman, one of the worst airports I have been through. The connecting flight was delayed by more than 6 hours, and there were no announcemnets or notices. And when the flight was finanly ready, the airline agents treated the passengers like they were in a boot-camp, yelling at people, pushing people back, etc., My advice to those who are considering RJ, is saty away unless it is absolutely necessary that you ...  Read the complete review

I was heading off too the middle east in 1998 and because of some confusion about our reservations for tickets with Saudi Airlines, we ended up booking our tickets through Air Jordan, this involved us changing in Amman with a 2 hour stopover. Once on the plane, we realised that the plane was a second rate one which had been probably used by the like of British Airways ten years ago. Apart from that the Air Hostesses were very unhelpful and required calling several times before requests were fulfilled. The worst thing was when we got to Amman. The Airline staff would not let us board the next flight for the changeover to Saudi, instead they made approxiamtely 100 people ...  Read the complete review
