Advantages: Price - but only sometimes

Disadvantages: Too many to mention

I have flown Ryanair a couple of times and will never fly with them again. I have had the misfortune of flying twice from Stansted. It must be cheap for Ryanair to fly from there because the airport is a dump!

But back to Ryanair. Lets start with the Check In process. This is an unimagineable hell. The queues are ridiculously long, and it seems forever to check in luggage (and you have paid for the honour).

At the boarding gate passengers then have two queues to get into. The one for 'normal' passengers the other for those who have paid the extra ££ for 'priority' boarding. What a bunch of Jesters as it appeared that almost 75% of the passengers had paid for priority boarding making it completely worthless! Ryanair must be laughing!

On board after take off you are subjected to a constant barrage of sales which you cannot get away from as a captive audience. The cabin crew are at best dis-interested unless you want to buy an overpriced disgusting sandwich or some tat from the duty free.

So ok, if you're happy paying less money for cattle class and a soul-less experience then great go for it. But I would dread to be in this airlines hands should anything go wrong. Personally I have found that after the headline website price, by the time you have added airport taxes, baggage, travel to and from the out of the way airports they use, you may as well have used a 'normal' priced airline

Summary: Shop around and look at the small print
