Advantages: Cheap but beware all the hidden costs!

Not really worth it for the cheap airfares.

I have travelled with Ryanair a few times but I have vowed to myself to never do so again. They had some very cheap flights advertised but there where a bunch of hidden costs you were not advised of until you had select dates and times, given all your personal information. This proved to be incredibly frustrating as I was booking fro a group of people who needed to know costs etc.
There was a check in fee if you didn't want to check in online, Insurance automatically allocated which you have to select 'No travel insurance' from a drop down to avoid (I have my own annual travel insurance), a baggage check in fee which we managed to avoid by only taking only a carry on bag - something that is not all that easy to do with the new liquid restrictions! There was also a card processing fee of £20 not matter what card you used, Credit Card or Debit card, unless you had a Visa Electron card - which I have never seen or heard of!

Also due to bad weather our flight back to London was cancelled and then rescheduled for 36hr later. This meant was had to call the airline to get a new booking confirmation sent through. It took 86mins to get through to their call centre, internal call on a UK mobile! Ep! Then when we did get back to the UK I had to make an insurance claim for the delay. In order to process this claim my insurance company need written confirmation from the airline confirming the delay and reason. You are not able to call Ryanair to ask for this, you have to either write to them or Fax their office in Ireland. Which I did and it took them over 27 days to get back to me.

All in all I would not recommend this company to anyone. Esp. if anything goes wrong - 0/10 for customer service!

Summary: No worth the cheap fare.
