Cheap and cheerful air travel (Ryanair)

Advantages: Lots of bargains to be had

Disadvantages: Beware of the extra charges

I have travelled with Ryanair a few times and it has always been hassle free. The best bargain I got was flights to Germany for me and my mum for 4p return! I have also used them to fly to and from Scotland as it is much quicker than the train and either the same price or cheaper. As you would expect for the price it is absoluely no frills, you have to pay for extra luggage, check-in if you don't do it online, food / drinks onboard and booking fees if you don't pay with visa electron.
I have never had a delays with them and the staff have always been pleasant.
The penny / £1 flights are great, especially if you don't have a specific destination in mind and there are definitely bargains to be had if you wait for the promotions which seem to come around regularly.
All in all I have been impressed with Ryanair, so as long as you don't expect anything special it's fine, especially as the flights are short haul.

Summary: Ryanair - cheap and cheerful!
