Advantages: Great Prices if you can work the system

Disadvantages: Cost can mount up with hidden charges

My review is based on the service between Bristol International and Limoges in France.

My parents own a house in France which is from Bristol a 15 hour drive which includes a 6hr ferry. This year during the summer months only Ryanair have started a flight from Bristol to Limoges so my mum flew out first to meet my dad who was already out there. She took a Thursday evening flight which boarded, departed and landed on time. This was a one way flight and cost her just £5 but as she paid via a credit card they charged an additional £5 thus making her total flight cost £10.00. Not bad at all.

My Nan my brother, my boyfriend and myself were all due the following Saturday lunchtime to fly out to meet them for the weekend. So as we were all paying separately we all booked our flights at different times.

My brother needed a one way flight as he was returning with the folks via the car and the ferry. His flight cost £54.00 including the credit card charge. (quite steep compared to what my mother paid)

My Nan (who is 82) was returning with my boyfriend and I paid £69.00 return including credit card charge

and my partner and I together paid £118.00 for two return including the charges.

We all flew out on a sturday and returned the following Tuesday evening.

As this is a new flight they only have the following flights from Bristol to Limoges

Tuesday around 17.00
Thursday around 17.00
Saturday around 14.00

and from Limoges
Tuesday around 20.00
Thursday around 20.00
Saturday around 17.00

Now if you dont know Ryanairs system (which i didnt before), you can easily pay over the odds for your flight. But if you look out for there £5 or sometimes even £1 flights, normally on one ways. Have cabin luggage only and pay via an electron card. You can avoid most of the charges. Sometimes you can even get a free flight. Its all about being flexible with when you travel and working the system.

No to the staff. Quite friendly, i managed to loose my passport on the plane (dont ask very embarssing) and they quickly found it and reunited me with it. They are very attentive with your needs whilst on the flight even though prices of food and drink is very expensive I had a chicken sandwich (which was nice) at £4.50!!! and a coffee at £2.50

The plane was very comfy and quite new looking but the thing that did let the whole thing down was the take off and landing. But i cant really condem the whole of Ryanair for just one piilot.

Overall if you can work the system Ryanair is very good value for money. If you cant work it then it proves to be just as expensive as any other airline just wothout the frills.

Summary: Work the system and be flexible with your dates of travel
