Ryanair - Frequent Flyer

I have been a frequent flyer with Ryanair over the past two years travelling from Belfast to London weekly.

Ryanair first came to Belfast City Airport in Autumn 2007 and I myself travelled with them on their opening day. Ryanair is famous for being a cheap airline and it travels to a vast number of destinations across Europe and North Africa. It is a Dublin based company which has been operating since 1992 and in that time it has become one of the largest airlines in Europe. The Ryanair plane is a Boeing 737-800 and can be identified from the air with its blue-white- gold exterior and its gold harp on the planes 'tail'.

My Opinion
Ryanair offers brilliant prices which are hard to beat. They have a great on time record, in the two years I flew with them I could say that in one hand I could count the amount of times the plane did not arrive on time and that was due to fog and airport holdups. They offer online check-in with hand luggage as well as speedy boarding at an extra £3 charge. The planes themselves are comfortable, warm and clean and the staff are always friendly.

Some things I have learned from flying with Ryanair:

Try and book flights at least three weeks in advance and within the next three month period because this is when you will get the best deals.

Try and pack light because Ryanair makes its money on extra charges like baggage. For a city break you could easily fit what you need into a 10kg bag and in fairness despite their bad press for their baggage charge they are still much cheaper than other airlines.

Ryanair also charges the credit card £4-5 each way (amount changes) - most airlines do this also but maybe they do not make their passengers aware and again despite this added charge Ryanair is still cheaper.

I am very pleased with the Ryanair experience and would recommend anyone to take advantage of the great deals that they have to offer
