Dont worry too much about Bag size like i did (Ryanair)

Advantages: good leg room, friendly staff

Disadvantages: Sounds like the odd bag size issues for some people

I flew with ryanair for the first time the other weekend and was pleasently supprised!

My trip was from stanstead to florence and i had heard previously the the budget airline were known for grabbing as much cash as possible. The first issue i came across was the carry on luggage size! i paid the extra £20 for my girlfriends bag to be checked in but was certain i could carry everything in needed for a long weekend away in a backpack .. then i found out how strict their carry on restrictions were! they have the smallest dimensions allowed i had ever seen which meant i had to buy a new bag to fit or fork out £30 to check it in on the day! i got a bag from argos for £9.99 which was about perfect apart from the whells making it to big but i thought i would risk it .... turns out there was no worry at all!!! the bag was fine and i saw people with much larger bags walking on .. i think i will trust instinct a bit more next time. So that turned out to be great!

The online checkin meant i could go straight to the security check and miss out all the ques although i didnt due to my girlfriend checking her bag in! but it still seems a great idea to me.

Ryanair staff were very helpfull and the plane left on time ... the aircraft itself was very clean and had plenty of leg room compared to easyjet and first choice flights i have been on in the past! there was good options for snacks on the flight and all round it was a very positive experiance.

I will definatly consider flying ryanair again!!!

Summary: good service and cant go wrong for the price!!
