If you need to get somewhere and aren't really in a hurry and aren't bothered of the service you get then Ryanair is the airline for you. But if you are like me and want some good service and you know that you are going to get their on time then don't touch Ryanair.

Yes Ryanair will offer you flights for a fraction of the price of other airlines but is it worth it? Well the answer is NO. Ryanair frequently overbooks their flights and in one incident I heard of a passenger having to sit in the seat of the flight attendent as Ryanair had overbooked and no one coped on until the plane took off!

But beware of your plane is too empty they may not let you take off and you may be sent to a different airport. This happened to me when I was flying to Manchester to see a match and I had to be their on time. All of a sudden up came a voice on the intercom "We regret to inform you that due to, to few bookings the passengers on the flight to Manchester will now have to fly to Liverpool". Liverpool was a 1 and half hour train away and I didnt have that amount of time. So I ran down to the Aer Lingus check in desk and lookly they had a few free seats and I paid them £140 to get on the plane when I was only paying £20 for Ryanair. But it was worth it!

But in saying that Ryanair due provide a vital service their low low fares are putting Aer Lingus, British Airways etc. under huge amounts of pressure to lower fares and it is working out well for the consumer. The release of their new website www.ryanair.com is proving a huge hit online and now provides around 40% of Ryanair's income. Aer Lingus are now set to launch their own interactive booking website in the coming weeks.

Another thing about Ryanair is when you are booking the price will say maybe £20 return to London or something. Then you proceed to the booking and they sting you with a £40 tax bill! So in the end it works out better to go with a good solid may
be more expensive airline. At least then you will know you will get their on time and in style. But in saying that I flown Ryanair before and I'll fly with them again because those low low fares are just to much to resist.

Hmm,I've been using Ryanair now for two and a half years and have flown many many times from Stansted to Oslo and also to Ireland.I have usually found them to be inexpensive, although at peak times like Easter, they aren't such a bargain. The services provided onboard are basic. They have just started to offer snacks at an extortionate rate (£4.50 for a tiny bacon buttie)The tea and coffee is ghastly and always have been..better to take a flask! Overall you get what you pay for and I've had some really cheap flights from them, all done over the phone or the net with relative ease. Thye also offer reasonable travel insurance and also provide extra cover for things like skiing (not off piste!) Their car hire partners are a bit pricey if you go to Norway, but then again, everything is out there! One thing to watch onboard is that they have a nasty habit of closing one of the loos...for the stewardesses makeup bags and clothes...really! It's true...they have repeatedly put an out of order sign on one toilet almost every time I have travelled..also watch out when they tell you about the least denomination of currency they will accept in coins/notes for snack purchases onboard..usually better to do it in £ sterling or you could get ripped off.

I've had a different experience to you. I've been using Ryanair for the last four years and I haven't had any major problems. I think you're over-exaggerating about the tax fee.
Your opinion contractics itself, you say - "Yes Ryanair will offer you flights for a fraction of the price of other airlines but is it worth it? Well the answer is NO."
So why do you say at the end - "I'll fly with them again because those low low fares are just to much to resist."
.....??

Does the Ryan Air web address take you to a website just a short bus journey away from your intended destination?
