OK, they're cheap, they don't fall out of the sky. But they ripped us off, and they don't care.

My sister booked her family and I to Nimes, France for a holiday. At the airport, it became clear that my sister had messed up the passenger list when completing the online form at Ryanair's website. She'd typed her husband's name twice, and left mine off.

At the airport they refused point-blank to simply change the name. I had to buy a newticket at full-price (£270 versus £80).

They also refused point blank to give us the second boarding card for her husband - which was paid for and in the correct name. They re-sold this seat & the flight was completely full.

The only reason they could give us was "policy". I think this is the "We've got you over a barrel, now pay up like a good boy" policy.

My sister wrote after the holiday, but of course they're not having any of it.

Anyone else been bitten like this? Is there a legitimate reason why they can't just re-type the damned name??

Oh, they also lost my nephew's luggage on outbound journey.
