Advantages: cheap, good easy booking site from the web
Disadvantages: have to keep an eye on the prices since they change a lot
Since I am married to a Swedish man, I find myself travelling to and from Sweden often. At least once every few months. Our relationship actually began with us living in seperate countries and having to accept seeing each other for a few days and then having to accept being apart for months at a time. I am thankful for Ryanair being around on the basis that their flights are always cheap in price meaning that I can and could travel more often than if they were not about. Ryanair are a no frills airline which is perfect for me taking a flight that only takes 2 hours in the air Their turn around time between flights its something like 25 minutes, excellent on the occasions that a flight has been delayed previous to your flight being due since you know once it has landed it wont take long until you are boarding your flight and on your way. The airline itself is ticketless and there is no provision to book your seats on the plane, so a good idea if you are travelling in a group of people is to be well in time at the boarding gate and start to queue pretty immediatly to arriving there, then you can be sure of a seat together. Obviously if you are travelling with children or need help in anyway then you are allowed on to the plane first to choose your seating. I would recomend anyone that might get peckish on the flight to bring there own snacks since the prices can be quite high, I think I once payed £7.00 for a packet of crisps coffee and a sandwich but since my flight was so cheap at the time I think it cost £50 return I actually didn't resent to pay that bit more for something to eat on that occasion. It is a good idea to watch their website for a while before you plan to travel since there prices can change quite often and that can be a bit annoying but as i've said so long as I am booking in good time i.e 3 - 4 weeks before I intend to fly I more often than not manage to get my return flight for around £50 giv
e or take a few pounds. The advantages for me as a user of ryanair is that I can be flexible of when I take a flight therefore I can find the best prices.

- 20/02/02 I really like them to since they are REALLY cheeap but on other hand you have to be prepared with sometimes delayed flights and if things screws up not much you can do. So see it is a gambling you most often win in but might risk to lose with canceled flights or full airplanes but it is still worth it since most tickets is halfprice a regular ticket. (I have always been lucky but Im aware of the risk). |

- 20/02/02 As we speak I am just leaving for Stansted and a Ryanair flight to Ireland! So far, as I've had to change flight times, they have been very easy to deal with. Will let you know more when I return! |
