Imagine yourself in this situation. . .Your mother and her friend are visiting from the US. They are in their late 50s and have never been to Europe before, and you've planned an entire trip which includes a trip to Ireland. They stay in Cork for a week, and are due to arrive back on Ryanair at 10:30 pm and then find their way from Stanstead to NW London. You give them detailed instructions how to get home on the Stanstead express, but they don't have a mobile phone so you're a bit worried about them. They first of all had to pay 60 Euros each for having a bag over the limit, which their limit is ridiculously low 15kg. much lower than most other airlines. After you don't hear a word from them and it's 1:00 am you start to get a bit worried. You call the airline and find out that their flight has been two hours delayed getting in at 12:30. . .fine that happens okay. You get a frantic phone call at 1:30 in the morning from them saying no one on the plane has got their baggage and they're still waiting. They wait until 2:30 in the morning, with not a ryanair rep in sight to help out. They wander down to a completely empty train platform only to find everything is shut down, and then run after a bus having no idea where it goes. By dumb luck it ends up going right by your house where they arrive at 4:00 in the morning.

You're absolutely irate, angry, upset, as you have been waiting up the entire night for them to arrive, worried sick that they ended up in a gutter somewhere. So you call Ryanair to ask why there was no explaination given as to why they had to wait 2 hrs for their bags. Ryanair puts you on hold for 15 minutes hoping you will go away. They then come on and you say what happened, their response. 'We have no record of that happening, we weren't at the airport. There's been trouble with our baggage handlers, frankly you're lucky you even got your bags there has been plenty of people who haven't.' Yo
u respond, 'That isn't exactly being a big fan of the company you work for, why would you tell me that. They answer, 'It doesn't matter, there are ten thousand other people waiting for you, you're just a drop in the bucket.'

Just remind yourself of that folks when you think about saving some money to fly on ryanair. You are just another drop in the bucket, they don't give a crap about you or about your things. At least don't send people who don't know their way around London on them late at night because there's a good chance they'll end up sleeping at the airport and bring your bags on the plane with you, because there is a good chance you aren't getting them back. Is saving £50 pounds really worth trying to replace £300-£400 pounds of stuff?
