Advantages: many destinations, personal moviescreen

Disadvantages: promotion scam, expensive

I booked us on Singapore airlines promotions - 2 to go from Singapore to Shanghai in januari 2005 . I knew that they won't refund or change the tickets, but that you actually have to be physically in the plane together to use the tickets, even if one of the parties can't travel, went beyond me. Even that the price that we have paid was higher than the price of a single ticket, I couldn't go by myself on that plane. Customer service just told me to buy two new tickets even that I would travel on the exact date that I booked.
I guess that they gonna use the two empty seats on that plane to resell it.
I just call that a scam. Now I fly with Garuda from Singapore to Shanghai, they are cheaper and always on time. For me never again Singapore airlines.

This review is a close to a travesty.

Sing apore Airlines' fares are very clear with regards to "2 to go" promotions. Among the conditions:

Tw o or more passengers must travel together both ways.
No refund once tickets are issued

Though not actively promoted, such conditions would hardly be able to be called 'hidden'. One does not have to take special action to read the specific fares rules and penalities as they are displayed at the time of booking.

Maybe the reviewer would be wise to read terms and conditions clearly before signing or pressing a Submit button.

Ive usually only heard good information about Singapore. Perhaps you could expand a bit - l recognise you had a bad experience with booking tickets - but what about the actual flight experience?

We lcome to the sight - make yourself at home!!
