Advantages: Great in-flight service and entertainment.

Disadvantages: Sometimes more expensive than other competititor airlines.

My personal experience of Singapore Airlines.

I flew with Singapore Airlines almost five years ago, From Manchester to SIngapore, then from Singapore on to the final destination, Melbourne, and the same but vice versa for the return trip.

Although there was a long queue at the check-in desk, the queue was down in no time and we were through no hassle whatsoever, except a friend of mine has scissors in a first aid kit she had, which they then removed (this showed that good security measures are in place) and then on we went.

In-flight service and entertainment were top-drawr, anytime you wanted a drink, or anything else, all you had to do was ask, you had a good selection of different movies, music, tv shows to choose from.

The changeover in Singapore was clockwork, no problems here.

Overall my experience with Singapore Airlines was superb, I would not hesitate to use them again if they came up on a route I wanted to fly.

Summary: You can't go wrong with Singapore Airlines.
