This latter option is useful for comparisons, since some other Mexican airlines quote in Pesos, but you ll have to go back and change it if you then want to book, as once you ve selected Mexico as your country of purchase, you have to supply a Mexican credit card, not just a Mexican address. Grupo Taca ... have flown with TACA twice this year, and enjoyed both flights. I was nervous about flying with them as I tend to fly with people like easyjet, ryanair, BA, Qantas, etc etc, but I need not have been! The first flight was on time, the aircraft was clean, the staff were nice, and spoke English and Spanish, and the food was amazing. Now I know most people dont like airline food, but I think it has got a lot better in the last few years. It was a night flight, and we were given breakfast, so it was waffles, with hot jam and a hot creamy sauce thing, and a wafer type chocolate bar. Lan Chile ... of you were on a 5 hour international flight. The standard domestic aircraft is the boeing 737, and though all of the aircraft I have used were a little rough around the edges there was a huge amount of legroom and the seats were perfectly adequate. The possible disadvantage of flying Lan chile on domestic routes, or routes within South America is the price. While they are not terribly expensive (my Santiago-Ariquipa flight was around US$120) they do have some serious low budget rivals. Aero Continente has risen through the ranks to be a serious contender within South America, and while there punctuality and service is apalling they do charge up to 60% less. Wher...
