Great Value fantastic customer service (Southwest Airlines)

Advantages: The customer service really sold this airline to us and the way they interacted with our baby

Disadvantages: Slight grunoy woman on checkin but she could of been having a bad day

I travel regularly to Seattle and normally I travel with BA but they were preventively expensive this winter so I thought I would check out South West Airlines. I called there reservation number and spoke to a very friendly member of staff who discussed my options I opted for a window seat and paid using my American Express card. I could have used there website but I quite like the human interaction and the service I received from the call centre was second to none.
The flight was direct from Gatwick to Seattle and even more fantastic they had a night flight available which is almost unheard of going to the states. I want to point out that we were travelling with a young baby so any travelling with him whilst he is sleeping is a bonus and is appreciated by everyone on the plane. At Gatwick I was happy to see six check-in stands so the queue didn't last very long. It must have taken us about twenty minutes to get to the front of the queue where I found a slightly stressed member of staff who didn't warm to me or my family which was quite disappointing as everything had gone perfectly up to this point however she processed our tickets and gave us the required information.
The staff on board the plane were very good to us we were allowed to board with the first class members and were shown to our seats and a staff member helped us settle our baby in a cot they hung from the bulkhead. The airline also stocks some baby food which was served to us before the main meal was served again this was fantastic for us and made us feel very welcomed.
Over all the flight went very well however a ten hour flight is a bit too far for anyone sanity but the staff on board definitely made the best of a difficult situation which would have been much worse if the staff hadn't be so proactive anticipating our needs as a family
In conclusion The airline's customer service was pretty much second to none apart from a grumpy check-in staff ,member they get a ten out of ten, the flight was great even when travelling with a young baby I would recommend them to anyone

Summary: This airline was really geared up for children which suited us totally good customer service
