TERRIBLE!!! We were flying from Frankfurt to Barcelona then to Menorca. Our luggage was lost and we immediately took the claim up with customer service and they assured us that the luggage would be in on the next flight and delivered within 5 hours. This was a short stay of only five days, so we were thrilled that our items would be there soon. Our luggage didn't show up until day 4!!! We played cat and mouse with these people our entire vacation. Later to find out that the luggage had actually arrived on time and had been sitting at the airport, but was never delivered to us, despite our CONSTANT phone calls. We flew from Exeter to Palma Majorca.The plane was an MD-83.It was modern and clean.The outward flight was very good apart from sitting in the plane on the taxiway for nearly 1 hour waiting to take off.We had a cooked meal on the way out.I was very dissapointed when they make you pay for soft drinks and water(alcohol fair enough but not soft drinks)the first airline I have flown with that does this.Check-in for the flight back from Palma airport was a nightmare we got through check-in 10 minutes before the plane took off.On the way back they served a tray with a sandwich with luncheon meat in ,a sweet roll with cheese in, a chocolate wafer and a cup for coffee.Not good ...  Read the complete review

Hi all, I normally fly Iberia when in Spain or when going to Spain. Once I decided to go for Spanair on the Madrid - Barcelona route, it was cheap and I wanted to try something else. Spanair is part of the SAS Group, the Scandinavian airlines and as a result a member of Star Alliance supposedly, the best airline alliance in the world. So far so good, I also noticed that their fleet is quite heterogeneous with McDonnell Douglas, Airbus and Boeing planes.
