Advantages: Very good customer service
Disadvantages: the older hostesses could smile a bit more - and the bar should be open a little longer
I booked to fly with Thai airways through there own website (thaiair.com) the flights were not too badly priced considering the staff were so helpful.
We flew from London to Bangkok, and despite the flight being long and us all travelling with terrible hangovers (from a heavy night out in London!) the flight was smooth and every body was very well looked after - especially for an economy class flight. The flight was only 90% full, which may have helped to make it easier for the staff to keep up. The younger hostesses are much chirpier and smiley and some are very attractive - which often keeps some people amused!
The food was pretty good - for airplane food. The air hostesses were always walking around and asking if we would like another drink, and asking if there was anything they could get us. However be warned if you like a drink, they do close the bar at some points during the flight to prevent excessive drinking on board the aircraft - which of course is a very sensible things to do..
The seats are comfortable (about an 8 out of 10 on the comfort scale), however if you can afford to go first class with this airline I would as a friend had previously recommended first class and having had a peek at the seats they looked much more comfortable!
All round this Is a good quality, comfortable airline to travel with for any medium - long haul flight.
