Thai InternationalNewest Review: ... wasn’t great. But then I put this down to the great British way of not being able to organise a piss-up in a brewery. Once I made it to my seat, my most important concern was tempered. One of the things I found problem with on my previous journey was the real lack of legroom afforded to economy passengers by BA. Thankfully a seat on Thai Airways offers a bit more room to stretch out and you could actually cross your legs without fear of being wedged in! Now when you’re on a plane for over ten hours you need something to keep you occupied. Sadly this is where you suffer by going with Thai. In comparison to other airlines I’ve b... more |

On my last trip to Bangkok I took a seat upon a British Airways flight, the experience wasn’t a good one and I swore I wouldn’t use them again for this kind of long haul flight unless it was absolutely necessary. This time around I picked Thai Airways, a brief search on the net came back with some favourable opinions on the airline and the price was comparable considering it was a direct flight. Yes I could have saved a few quid by going non-direct but the money you’d save is not worth the hassle of waiting around. The people of Thailand are a peaceful and courteous bunch that make you wish that we had similar respect for other human beings in this ... Read the complete review

I flew Thai in April 2003 from London (Heathrow) to Auckland NZ. Thai services Auckland twice daily to/from Bangkok - once via Brisbane and another via Sydney Australia. Its a good thing if you have the time to spend in these places but if your final destination is Auckland the extra stop on the way makes it realistically too long a journey to undertake in one hit unless you're prepared for 30 hours on the go, including transit times, from Europe. Thai were very good in their service delivery - right from entering the plane at every stop, where there is a newspaper rack with a good selection of international magazines too and courteous air crew ... The thing I like most about Thai Airways is that it is very inexpensive (around $ 20-30 US) to upgrade to first class, at least domestically. Haven't flown them internationally since I am high up on the Northwest FF scale, and Thai doesn't fly out of Minneapolis anyway. Also, there are always plenty of Thais around who are eager to practice their English, so don't be afraid to ask for help. There was one young lady who helped me out when I was flying down to Phuket. I bought her an upgrade to first class for the help,(Big deal, $20.00) and to make a long story short, we are getting married in February. Happy travels to all of you ... Read the complete review

I have had the pleasure of flying Thai now a few of times on medium and short haul in economy and have found it always a pleasure. The staff at check in and on the plane are charming, polite and always have tried to do everything to help. Add to the fact that ( and I know I am being sexist here so apologies ) they have the best looking stewardesses and one of the nicest sounding languages I am just a sucker in their hands. All levity aside, the airline does have one of the newest fleets in Asia ( Airbus A310s, 320s etc ) and maintenance is generally of a high standard so safety is not normally an issue. Routes are widespread within Asia as ... Read the complete review

Our experiance with Thai international and also the domestic Thai Airways has always been an enjoyable one. The flight staff are extremley helpful, courtious and freindly. The food is far better than most airlines that I have used and there is always much more legroom even on the internal flights on smaller planes. All in all Thai Airways makes your journey comfortable and as pleasent an experiance as flying can be made in economy class. The planes have a bright and airy feel to them and are very clean. The inflight entertainment was good and the flight staff were constantly making sure you were comfortable and offering drinks. If you have the choice I would recomend Thai ... Read the complete review
