Thomas cook is one of the country's oldest travel agents. The exist in the high street, and on the internet. They sell primarily package holidays, but as the years have passed they have expanded into tailor made deals, hotels only, theatre breaks, spas and flights. Some branches even have their own dedicated flight shop. Since Thomas cook have evolved they have set up their own airline company which is primarily used for their package holidays, but in their flight shops they sell holidays by multiple operators as well as their own. DO NOT BOOK WITH THOMAS COOK!!!! I booked my wedding in Kefalonia for July this year. We booked 25 guests through Thomas Cook to stay in a four star hotel where we are getting married. A week ago the best man and the groom's sister received a letter stating that they have been moved accommodation due to 'contractual issues' with the hotel. They have been moved to accommodation miles away from anyone else which is 2 star and horrible. I have now been on the telephone to Thomas Cook customer services for over 5 hours in total to be told that the accommodation is like for like(it is far from it) and this is all they have to offer. I checked myself and they have rooms in a ...  Read the complete review

Two weeks ago I travelled on Thomas cook airlines as part of a package holiday from Manchester airport to Sharm-El-Shiek in Egypt. Pre-Flight service I felt was very good- despite check-in que being quite long and me thinking the wait would be a while, we waited about five minutes to be served, there was alot of check-in desks open and staffed, considering it was a 9am flight. The rest of the airport experience was fine. Coming to boarding the flight was called on time, boaring was prompt, efficient and all passengers were on board with about fifteen minutes to spare, and we were greeted warmly by the crew and assisted finding our seats. The flight took off on time ...  Read the complete review

I always book my holidays with Thomas Cook, but this was the first time our package holiday included a flight that used Thomas Cook Airlines. We booked our holiday to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic in March 2009. Our holiday was in July 2009. I didn't have any concerns at all when I saw who we were flying with. I have nothing but good things to say about Thomas Cook travel agency, and thought this would be the same with the airlines side too... how wrong I was. As we would be travelling on such a long flight, I decided straight away that I wanted to book seats on the plane for myself and my boyfriend. Normally I would not even have ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Thomas Cook Airlines: Don't just book it, Thomas Cook it! (287 words)

I recently booked a package holiday through Thomas Cook and the flight was on Thomas Cook airlines. I find flying quite boring at the best of times so was not particularly looking forward to the 5 and 1/2 hour flight. I ended up rather enjoying the outbound flight. Something novel was the fact they have camera's underneath the plane which enable you to see the ground when you take off and land. The seats were relatively comfy, however I am only 5'3, I would imagine taller people would have a different view. The staff were friendly and efficient. The meal was quite tasty, it was breakfast which included sausages, scrambled egg, beans, a blueberry muffin, orange ...  Read the complete review
