Flying With Thomas Cook (Thomas Cook Airlines)

Advantages: Plenty of Entertainment, Excellent Service

Disadvantages: None!

We were flying from Manchester to Orlando Sanford with Thomas Cook. We flew premium class, which gives passengers an increased luggage allowance, larger seats, complimentary bar and other benefits. Premium class is usually located at the front of the aircraft.


When we arrived at check in, we were told the flight had been delayed approximately 2 hours, because of storms over the Atlantic. However, we were allowed to stay in the lounge during this delay.

As we were flying premium class, we boarded the plane before the other passengers, and took our seats. Each passenger had their own personal screen, which was at the time showing a promotional video. Everybody was provided with a bottle of water, basic toiletries, a blanket and a pillow.

We soon began to taxi out. All the safety demonstrations were shown on the screen. Very soon we had taken off and we were able to unfasten out seatbelts.

The 9 hour flight passed surprisingly quickly. There was a good choice of films to watch, and there was also an information channel, on which we could follow the progress of the flight and see what speed we were travelling at etc. It was an extremely clear day and we could see the statue of liberty very clearly for a short time.

The seatbelt signs soon came on, and we landed at Orlando Sanford.

The return flight was just as good, but only took 7 hours instead of 9.

I would definitely recommend Thomas Cook, and I have already booked to fly with them again!

Summary: Thomas Cook are an absoutely fantastic charter airline!
