Advantages: Gets you there........eventually
Disadvantages: Poor staff training, safety questions to be answered
I have very recently been on a Thomas Cook Airlines holiday to Tenerife and so I am in a position to comment on their service.
The plane I travelled on was a boeing 757-200 series both outbound and inbound.
In terms of the plane itself, I found the leg room very cramped and it seemed to have got smaller from previous years of travelling with Thomas Cook. The interior of the plane was modern with tv screens alng the aisles but the quality of these were poor. The room in the gangways was also more narrow than previously experienced.
The major negatives of Thomas Cook was the fact that bags had been lost onboard form Birmingham and we had to wait for 1 passenger for over an hour and a half to get a lost baggage form on arriving at tenerife. I also found the cabin crew unprofessional on the return journey due to their being a 'security threat' on oard and a passenger refusing to fly. He was pushed into his seat by a stewardess at TFS airport. He refused to stay on board and every single bag had to be unloaded before we could return to the UK. The pilot and crew made little attempt to reassure passengers that there was no risk. There were grown men in tears from fright and it was the most horrific flight i have ever had!
Overall, this is a non-caring Airline that is simply there to haul you to and from your destination without much thought for safety.
Summary: Poor Service for the money paid-better expected
