Advantages: The mars ice creams!
Disadvantages: Poor customer service, not enough blankets
I have travelled with Thomas Cook airlines twice in the past 10 months and was fairly disappointed both times.
The first trip was to Canada and we booked just the flight, although I wasn't expecting it to be up to the standards of Virgin or British airways I was still disappointed. The second was part of a package holiday to the Dominican Republic.
On both flights there was not enough blankets and pillows for all passagers and there was a free for all to get the few there were. Both flights were over 9 hours and a bit on the chilly side so not very comfortable without blankets. The food was ok, the pasta was good but the rest of it was disappointing and if you don't put your rubbish in the bag provided you get stern looks and comments from the staff. You also have to pay for drinks and snacks, although you do get a small water and tea / coffee with the meals this is not enough on such a long flight. On two of the flights not all channels on the TV were working and staff got very annoyed when people were asking why they weren't working, this could have been avoided if they had given an announcement explaining the problem. The planes are also not very clean.
The staff are ok but not particularly friendly or helpful. The only redeeming feature is the Mars icecream they handout!
Summary: Would avoid travelling with them
