Advantages: none
Disadvantages: Old planes
I have flown with Thompson Fly once a long haul flight from Doncaster to Sanford.
Yes the flight was cheap but never again would I fly with them the plane was really old and uncomfortable seats. They price was cheap but it was still not worth it to me. Its a false economy has by the time you have added all the extras they are more expensive they charge you for everything drinks, meal etc. You could fly on a proper airline for the same price or less.
There luggage allowance is really poor has well coming back they were weighing peoples plastic bag if they had pop in them they were being very funny about it has if they only want you to but theres at inflated prices. (This was before the ban on liquids)
The staff on board are only interested in selling you park tickets and scrachcards going out.
On the way back they will not let you get any sleep through the night as they are trying to sell more duty frees all night.
It is possible to put up with the very basics on a short haul flight but not on an 8 hour flight.
Summary: It is possible to put up with the very basics on a short haul flight but not on an 8 hour flight.

- 21/03/08 Only ever flown within Europe with them but never had any problems like that. We've just flown with them to Turin and back and it was fine! |
