We flew to the Domican Republic a couple of years ago on a Thomsonfly craft. Packed in like sardines, to be greeted on the TV 'an extra 6 inches foot room from May next year'. nice touch! It wasn't the best experience of my life and has just about put me off long haul flights. The food was not too bad, I'm a vegetarian so usually get fed pretty badly on flights, but this was OK. I just hate the amount of packaging and waste but this is true of all flights.

On the way back, they showed the same film as on the way out, I commented to the stewardess about this. SHe said ' Oh well'. Ok it's not a big deal but when you have to watch the same Wallace and Gromit film to take your mind off the awful space your crammed into, its not really helpful.

Summary: For some an unneccesary evil.
