Thomson Fly

I have had great difficulty in the past when flying with Thomson I have written to them on no less than six occasions. Don't get me wrong the flights are good, usually on time and the staff are very friendly however actually getting to the airport can be a minefield!!

1. On three occasions I have had flight times changed with Thomson, me and my partner go away every year and last year was no exception. We went to Prague and booked flights with Thomson in the June, this year instead of going for a week we chose to go for two nights. We were due to fly at 9am on the 30th December, they cancelled our flight due to there being less demand than expected and put us on the same flight but the following day (new years eve)!!

I was less than happy and felt forced to accept their changes as the hotel was already booked. We ended up having 1 ½ days in Prague and everything was very rushed as we didn't know where the best place to be was at midnight. I also lost out on a day in the hotel that I had paid for.

2. On a flight to Egypt with Thomson there was smoking on the plane in the toilet the whole cabin filled with the smell and when numerous people complained the cabin crew did nothing!! I understand that smokers suffer on long hall flights but this was crazy.

When I complained once I got home I was ignored. It took 4 letters to get an answer and I threatened to take the matter further. All my answer was that the staff on that flight would undergo more training, I find it hard to believe that it ever happened.

Summary

I have had many good flights with Thompson but all the flight changes and the SMOKING stick in my mind. Sorry.
