Premium Review TWA - cheapest but the worst (167 words)
by - written on 17/09/01 (Useful, 122 readings)

I recently visited the States and used TWA to travel from New York to San Francisco and back again. We booked with them because they were the cheapest by £40, however I discovered this was for a very good reason! We were meant to fly direct and were informed when we arrived at the airport that we had to change planes in St Lewis. The ...  Read the complete review

TWA is great (199 words)

I have flown on several different air lines and I think TWA is a class above the rest. They were the first to give you more leg room in their wide body 767. We flew to Hawaii in October 1999 on the 767 in coach class and I must say it was a lot roomier than on the same fight in September 1988 on a 747. The service was great, about every 2 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review TWA: Perfect for me. (85 words)
by - written on 04/01/01 (Somewhat useful, 40 readings)

TWA are the perfect airline for me because they are the only ones who fly direct from Gatwick to St. Louis, which is where I usually go from/to. I have never had a delay with TWA, have always arrived at my destination early or on time, ...  Read the complete review

I've lived in the States most of my life. Some regions are pretty much only accessable through one or two airlines, and my sister had the misfortune of living somewhere where the major airline was TWA. I do not remember a single flight (and I've used then 10+ times) that left and arrived on time with no mishap or loss of luggage. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review What happened to TWA? (206 words)
by - written on 07/07/00 (Useful, 475 readings)
Rating:

I remember the days when TWA and Pan Am (who?) were the only US transatlantic carriers and they were both marvellous. In fact, Pan Am was probably the world's leading airline. It used to have two round-the-world flights, Clipper One and Clipper Two, one eastbound and the other westbound and basically apart from equipemnt and crew changes, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mixed feelings (86 words)
by - written on 26/06/00 (Somewhat useful, 32 readings)
Rating:

I have mixed feelings about TWA, I have only flown it once, short haul in the US, where the flight was fine and the pilot caught up all the time that we had lost sitting on the ground at O'Hare. My fiancee in contrast flew TWA transatlantic where the cabin crew were extremely rude and unhelpful, on top of which they managed to break her ...  Read the complete review
