I havent flown with Virgin to the States for about 5 years since my son was born so I still remember Virgin as the airline you should travel to the States with.....but things have changed...alot...

Their on line check in system is pointless as both outbound and inbound there is no chance of changing your seat as they tell me they reserve 'leg room' seats for the elderly and disabled...wrong....I checked both ways and teenagers had these seats.
The food and refreshments used to be good and plentiful...wrong...we had a mediocre meal and nothing else after 9.5 hours except a cheese roll...tea and coffe were unseen after the meal.
The seats used to be comfy...wrong....they are now just like every other airline..minimum legroom and very hard.

However the entertanment system is fantastic.

Theres nothing actually awful about Virgin Atlantic its just that they are not the force they used to be and frankly BA and AA offer a comparible and often better service.
The Hostess's need to smile a bit more and get off their Virgin high horses as well for they are simply working in economy now and quite frankly Ive had better from Ryan Air.
