I have flown Virgin atlantic for a number of years and what was once a well managed efficient airline has become mediocre with affair with a customer relations department that accept no resposibility and reject all claims out of hand.

I recently flew from Gatwick to Antigua and experienced a 10 1/2 hour delay because of a cracked windscreen. Now accidents happen but what is unacceptable is that an arline like Virgin holds no spares and is forced to source parts from Holland.
It also appears they have no contigency for when one of the planes suffers a failure. Add to that the paltry offer of £10 for food and water for the delay shows just what depths this airline has sunk to ensure profits.
