I travel with virgin atlantic about once a year to visit family in the caribbean. As it is a long flight i want to travel with someone who is going to provide me with comfort and entertainment, and virgin excel in both of these.

They make things easy right from the start. It is possible to drop you bags off with their twilight check in the night before so you do not have to worry about waiting in queues the following morning. They even let you chose your seats in advance online - which i think is fantastic!

Whilst on the flight, the seats are comfortable and provide adequate leg room for the long flights.
Although i am not a fan of aeroplane food in general, i do think virgin provide the best options and the highest quality. other snacks and drinks are provided throughout the flight at no extra cost meaning you dont have to worry about having money on the flight.
There are also built in screens in the back of each seat meaning each person can chose from the variety of channels and films available - again at no extra cost.

Based on my experience, the staff are always friendly and provide an excellent service. This is definatly great value for money, if you can find the cheap flights in the first place!
