Very good service, even in economy (Virgin Atlantic)

Disadvantages: Noisy and slightly lumpy seats, not enough loos!

I flew with Virgin Atlantic this year from Gatwick airport to Cuba, and I was very impressed. This was my first long haul flight that I can really remember (the other being to America when I was 9!) and I felt that although travelling in Economy Class I was well looked after, and had very good general service.

Food!
Well I always am very picky when it comes to food, and anyone who knows me knows this too.. however I thought this aeroplane food wasn't actually that bad. We had sat in the middle of the plane, and when it came down to it this meant that the only meal left for me was Curry - great I don't like rice, or spicy food - I explanied that I didn't like this and the crew quickly went upstairs to premium economy and brought me a chicken caserole that was left over - I was shocked at the quick thinking and politeness as well as the good nature and thoughtfulness of the staff. We were also given free drinks on the flight - water or squash mainly - throughout.

Delays:
Coming back we were delayed 3 hours. I don't know what caused this, but the staff aboard were helpful and effient, cleaning the plane and turning it round to go back as quickly as possible. I was very pleased.

Summary: Great flying experience, better than Short Haul by far!
