Before I start, I have to tell you that I am a frequent flyer with Wizzair. I am Hungarian, my fiancee is Polish, every time we fly back home, we book it through Wizzair-it's been about 5 years that we've been using it, and travel approximately 5 times a year. We usually pay up to £50 for a return ticket/person, the cheapest one so far was £29.99 ... Read the complete review

WIZZAIR-NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL..... I have recently travelled with Wizzair to Kiev in Ukraine and back,for a short break,and really was impressed.The fare was less than than £130 for the return trip,which is less than half of British Airways seemingly ever increasing fares. I visit Ukraine at least twice a year and have used ... Read the complete review

WizzAir are an Eastern European budget airline (of Hungarian provenance) who connect Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey and even Ukraine (as for now I believe the only cheep flights to Ukraine) to Germany, UK, Italy, Sweden, Spain mostly (with single destinations in few other countries of the North/West). ... Before I start writing, I just want to point out that I have only travelled with Wizzair once - from Doncaster to Katowice, so can't comment more generally about punctuality, reliability etc.... I think that Wizzair are a much preferable option to Ryanair! Having paid just £38 one way between the two cities, I was expecting the usual ... Read the complete review

Twice booked flights with Wizz Air Norway-Hungary (Return Flights). Both times Wimpyass just cancels the flights, not reason given, and refunds only a fraction of paid fees. Calling them is one EuRO pr min, sending them e-mails, results in a return message "Deleted without being opened". ' My wife and me has several ... Read the complete review

I have just returned from a Trip to Poland and I flew with Whizz Air. I have to say I am extremely impressed and quite shocked by the bad reviews I have read on Dooyoo. I must admit, when I booked the flights I did have doubts as I had never heard of Whizz Air and the name doesn't exactly fill you with comfort but for £40 return, I ... Read the complete review

I've used Wizz Air 4 times now between London and Katowice in Poland and overall, they're better than other low cost airlines. The planes are new and the seats are ok for short haul (2 hours - no more). As per the business model - everything is extra, "priority" boarding (only works in London), extra room seats, refreshments ... Read the complete review

I have flown with this company quite a few times (10 times or so) between Bucharest and London. Company: From what I understand the company is Hungarian with 8 operating bases to Katowice, Warsaw, Gdansk and Poznan in Poland, Budapest in Hungary, Sofia in Bulgaria and Bucharest and Cluj in Romania, offering flights to over 50 ... Wizz Air advertise their flights from Cracow/Katowice - so I buy the flight and go to Cracow and then to the airport... Cracow Airport.... then I'm told that I am at the wrong airport and I will miss my flight as the real airport is 100km away!!!!! In fact the airport has nothing to do with Cracow!!!!!! Wizz Air would happily call ... Read the complete review

Never try your luck with them, you'll get burned just like the other thousands (just google a bit);
Reasons:
'hungaro-english' language (something like indian),
"less people, less fuel" strategy (i.e. you book your ticket, if you fail to satisfy one of their conditions eg. arrive 3minutes late, you're out), no refunding (even if you booked it for the next month),
"hidden taxes" (if you've already flied and paid by card, check comissions on your credit card history; another common trick is their airports are 100Km away from the city eg. Bruxelles - Charleroi, so you'll pay even more then with a quality company in most cases.)

I had booked a flight in May, that I was unable to take due to a family member passing away. I then tried to contact the customer relations department of Wizzair to get confirmation that I didn't take the flight. So I emailed them with all of the details, plus a copy of the death certifate. I heard nothing. I then rang customer ... Read the complete review

I was due to fly back from Poland, Katowice airport on 24th July 2008 - as normal I always check on the internet for delays etc. On checking flights out of Katowice to Belfast I could not find my flight and decided to give Wizzair a call and unfortunately was on hold by telephonic robot for over an hour at a cost of £1.00 per minute. At this stage ... Read the complete review

As a regular user of budget airlines, I've come to expect most things on cheap trips to the continent. Like anything else in life, you generally get what you pay for. Budget airlines usually offer a no-frills service, that whilst may not be particularly comfortable or fancy, does at least get you where you need to be. Wizz Air didn't even ... Most people that know me know that I am not very comfortable with flying at all. I am scared to death, always feel claustrophobic on any plane, and further more I am really fussy on what airline I choose. Normally I take the cowards way out and use a boat to get to my destinations, but as you may gather this is a lot more time ... Read the complete review
