Alicante Altet Airport (ALC): ... airport is growing rapidly in the number of annual passengers - mostly British tourists who are looking for a sunny destination. Looking at the summer we have had this year, I m not surprised people are trying to escape to the sun. Alicante airport is very accessible as it is just off the motorway, which runs from Murcia to Valencia. Therefore, you can come straight out the airport onto the motorway to quic...

Carrington Exeter International Airport (EXT)
... there is a world news shop, a good cafe overlooking the runway, some duty free shopping and internet access. Some people would find the airport boring and too small, but from my past experiences at Gatwick, Heathrow and Liverpool, I must comment that I prefer this small airport. I have never had any problems when flying out of Exeter Airport. The worst incident was a one hour delay which is nothing really. At other UK airports I have had to suffer them losing my baggage, staff being rude and lengthy delays of over a day. Exeter Airport is much more peaceful than larger airports and the atmosphere is much more relaxed. I happen to live 5 minutes away from this airpo...

Tamarind Glasgow Prestwick International Airport (PIK)
... name of this airport suggests it is in Glasgow but this is certainly not the case. Glasgow is approximately 45 minutes away by train. However, if you do have to take the train there is a station right at the airport. All you have to do is cross the covered walkway from the station, down the escalator and you are right at the check-in desks. There are 18 desks in total but I doubt if they are ever all used. If you are being dropped off by car, you can no longer be deposited right at the door - the terrorist attempt at Glasgow airport in June 2007 made sure of that. However, you are still able to be dropped off in the car park in front of the terminal building. If...

juicy_lucy Milas Bodrum Airport
... airport My teenage son was flying to Bodrum to meet up with his brother and because I was flying to Bodrum myself later in the week, I took more than the usual interest in the airport and more especially the website. WHERE IS IT? The Airport is actually called milas- Bodrum airport but is commonly referred to as Bodrum airport. It is situated on a peninsula on the south west coast of Turkey and juts out into the Aegean sea. The airport itself is 36km from Bodrum itself and 16km south from the town of Milas, so that s why it s called milas Bodrum because it s between the two towns. FACILITIES If I go onto the website, I am told that the airport has a new interna...
