Jacqui454 Menorca Airport (MAH): ... really is a comfortable, efficient airport. After 11 days sunning ourselves the last thing we wanted was to hang around an airport with little money and a restless, tired 2 year old. What a pleasant suprise we had! The queues really weren t very long but moved quickly anyway. All the staff were polite and helpful and the whole place seemed to run like clockwork. There is a good selection of duty free and gi...

stuff10 Manchester Airport (MAN)
... re regular flyers from Manchester Airport, using it at least once and year - maybe even more if it s the cheapest place to go from! We find that the airport is nicely located to the south of the city, just a few minutes off the M60 motorway that circles Manchester. Coming from Sheffield we have to negotiate the Pennines and their stupidly small roads - if the government built a motorway, it d take us about half an hour to get to the airport, however with the Snake/Woodhead Pass it takes us more like 90 minutes. Stupid government. Anyway, the airport itself is probably the largest outside of London and provides passengers with short, medium and long haul routes. From ...

nilo0901 Alicante Altet Airport (ALC)
... ve been flying to and from Alicante for a number of years now as my parents have a house near there and I visit them frequently. Until recently, Alicante Airport only had one terminal and was quite a dingy airport. Thankfully this has changed with the opening of Terminal 2, which is bright, airy and the terminal Easyjet mostly fly from, so the one I know best. The airport is well situated on the Costa Blanca and only a short drive to Benidorm or Calpe. As with anything Spanish, it has a tendency to be fairly noisy and screaming at one another is a must here just so you can fit in. Arrivals is fairly standard stuff but works efficiently, if perhaps taking a little long...

flyingdutchwoman Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS)
... is the main airport of The Netherlands, and one of the largest hubs in Europe. I have traveled to and from Schiphol many times. I generally find it to be an extremely well run airport. Everything seems to run on time and like clockwork. (Like most of The Netherlands.) I normally travel through Schiphol when I go home to visit my family in the south of the country. Therefore I normally have to use the train. At Schiphol, this is certainly not a problem. After you have left the aircraft, it is easy, but sometimes far to reach the baggage reclaim. My luggage normally arrives very quickly. You then must clear immigration, and this is always done efficiently and f...
