Geisskane Newcastle International Airport (NCL): ... attend university in nearby Durham, but live in Ireland. Needless to say I fly semi regularly from this airport and thought I would now let potential future passengers know about its pros and cons. First and foremost, I will deal with location. Newcastle airport is situated, like most airports, a good distance outside of the city. There is however a fantastic metro system which for £2.90 will take you into Newca...

vickitoria10 Tenerife Renia Sofia Airport (TFS)
... ve recently returned from a fab holiday to Tenerife and of course this meant I had to travel through the airport (unless I decided to swim which I really didn t fancy!) So.. Arrivals.. Tenerife South airport (TFS) is not a huge airport, I would say perfectly adequate for the tourist market but it s no Schipol or Heathrow! This does have it s advantages. The time from landing to being out the airport is relatively quick and you re unlikely to get lost in it! I have been to Tenerife many times, sometimes you will be attached to an airbridge, others you will park up (Do you park a plane?!) on the tarmac and be bussed to the terminal building. Each has it s own advantage...

Jacqui454 Menorca Airport (MAH)
... really is a comfortable, efficient airport. After 11 days sunning ourselves the last thing we wanted was to hang around an airport with little money and a restless, tired 2 year old. What a pleasant suprise we had! The queues really weren t very long but moved quickly anyway. All the staff were polite and helpful and the whole place seemed to run like clockwork. There is a good selection of duty free and gift shops (a bit pricey but then the whole of Menorca was). There are also plenty of places to eat - whether you just want a sandwich or push the boat out and have Burger King. Oh, and there is an outside lounge for the smokers amongst us! Our baggage and bu...

stuff10 Manchester Airport (MAN)
... re regular flyers from Manchester Airport, using it at least once and year - maybe even more if it s the cheapest place to go from! We find that the airport is nicely located to the south of the city, just a few minutes off the M60 motorway that circles Manchester. Coming from Sheffield we have to negotiate the Pennines and their stupidly small roads - if the government built a motorway, it d take us about half an hour to get to the airport, however with the Snake/Woodhead Pass it takes us more like 90 minutes. Stupid government. Anyway, the airport itself is probably the largest outside of London and provides passengers with short, medium and long haul routes. From ...
