barts08 Sydney (Kingsford Smith) International Airport (SYD): ... airport is one of the cleanest and most efficient i have been too. Once off the plane you have a short walk to immigration and customs and before you get there you have the chance to do some duty free shopping in the massive shop. Immigration are very good and make sure you fill out your card correctly and answer the questions truthfully - i know that may shoud obvious but they will come down so hard on people ...

... arrived at Sydney airport on a working holiday, you get off the plane and are greeted by friendly immigration staff, the bags came after about 10 minutes which is really quick, I was greeted by the Agricultural affairs gentlemen and he asked if I had any food, I showed him my Bio Rumblers pot that was given on the plane and he was happy for me to have this which was great especially since it was Dairy. The image of Sydney airport was really nice and clean with blue olympic themed carpets. I entered into the warm December air at about 7:50am and it just felt funny after travelling half way around the world and walking around in a T-shirt at christmas. The Train station a...

cbrewer1991 Mackay Airport Australia
... i was travelling around Australia this year, i was in North Queensland in a small place called Bowen which is about an hour and a half to two hours from Mackay airport, which happened to be the closest airport. The airport is located in the industrial area of the city off the main road. I knew it was going to be a small airport because it only does regional fl...

The trip to the city will cost you a reasonably pricey $14 Australian dollars, but when you compare it with the similarly priced bus service that has a little longer travel time, and also to waiting in the queue that snakes out of the taxi stand (a good 20minute wait in itself and a fare that will cost you about $40-50 AUD) it makes a lot of sense. The fact that Kingsford Smith is Australia s la...
