Hey guys ive been there and its really a super airport. Here some informations: Located 27km northeastern of Athens, the new Athens International Airport, is accessible via Attiki Odos, a six-lane motorway constituting the Athens City Ring Road. Public transport is provided by express airport bus connections with Athens center and the port of Piraeus on a 24 h basis, ensuring efficient transport of air travelers and facilitating linkage to key tourist attractions. Future developments such as the Suburban Rail, to be completed in 2003, in combination with the existing sections and the extensions under construction of the Attica Metro network will further improve airport access and enhance intermodality. The Airport provides 4.700 spaces for short and long term Parking. They are situated in front of the Main Terminal Building and across the Attica Highway. The parking facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art Pay on Foot Machines for easy and quick payment. There is also a Cashier Booth in every parking area that operates 24 hrs a day. Electronic message screens, provide continuous information on parking vacancy. Particular attention has been given for passengers with special needs, for which adequate parking facilities are provided in front of the Main Terminal Building. If you are planning to park for up to 4 Hours, you should park at lots P1 and P2 , right outside the Arrivals level. The total charge is ?2,90 or 1000 drs. for the 1st hour and ?2,1 or 700 drs. for any additional hour. For parking over 24 hours the additional surcharge will be ?25,50-8,700drs. If you are planning to park for a longer period than 4 hours or for a couple of days then you should park at lot P3 Across the Attica highway. Ohe Shuttle Bus with regular pick-ups at 6 Bus Stops takes you to the Departure level in 5 approximately minutes Alternatively you could use the pedestrian bridge that takes you to / from P3
in approximately 10 minutes.The daily charge is ?10 or 3.400 drs. - 23/03/02 I am tempted to re-rate this as SU as there is a small amount of personal information included when I re-read it, unfortunately as it stands it isn't enough when considering how much is taken from alternate sources. |
