Berlin Tegel International is the most central of 3 Berlin airports (the others being Tempelhof and Schonefeld), most of the flights from regular carriers depart and arrive at Berlin Tegel, as do the budget flights from TuiFly. Tegel is located 5 miles (8 km) northwest of central Berlin. A tourist office at the airport is open from 5:30 A.M. to 11:30 P.M. daily. Good taxi service is provided just outside the terminal. The fare is about 25 deutsche mark to Bahnhof Zoo Station, the main station in the centre of Berlin, and the ride takes between 20 and 25 minutes. The most convenient and cost effective way to get to and from the airport is by bus. An airport bus, number 109, leaves Tegel every 10 to 15 minutes from outside the arrivals hall. The bus route follows the Kurfurstendamm to the Bahnhof Zoo Station—and from there it's an easy taxi or U-bahn ride to ...  Read the complete review
