I have only flown from this airport once so it may have just been an unfortunate experience of the airport, though it must of been a really poor experience to think it was this bad. The airport staff didn't seem to be doing there job, they seemed to just being laughing and giggling behind the information desks. There were not as many shops and places to eat/drink as I expected and there was not much to do in the airport, it was quite a busy and boring airport. I didn't have to put up with it for too long becuase most of my time was spent queuing. We were queuing for security for 40 minutes and only had 15 minutes in departures before we were called to our gate. I would ... Read the complete review

I do quite a bit of travelling to various airports and Bristol airport is by no means the worst. My main problem is that the vast majority of facilities are once you have gone through security, which means that there is very little freedom to roam about if you have time to waste, whether it be to have a cigarette or simply to get some fresh air. Once you are through then you have no where to go but find a seat either in the main lounge downstairs or in one of the restaurants upstairs. The selection of food available is pretty good and the shopping is OK if not a bit basic. Don't expect a huge duty free section, remeber it's only a local airport. In the ... Read the complete review

Recently booking a holiday to Italy we discovered we could infact fly from Bristol which is much closer to our home than Gatwick where we had previously flown from. I was a little wary to start with simply because it is a rather small airport but I was very impressed with the airport itself. The airport is situated just 8.6 miles outside of the centre of Bristol and therefore takes around 15 minutes by car. There is a bus service from the centre of Bristol which runs every 15 minutes and costs just £9.00 return. We drove because we live about an hour away from Bristol. The airport offers secure car parking which is of a reasonable price when ... Read the complete review

Bristol International Airport's a good, local, option. Budget carriers such as Easyjet and Ryanair fly out from Bristol to a range of destinations in Britain and out across Europe, and in recent years a number of transatlantic flight routes have begun operating. In peak holiday season a variety of package tour companies use the airport as a base for summer sun destinations. A slight problem, given that quite a proportion of the summer traffic through Bristol is from package tour operators, that I've encountered is in trying to find destinations that can be travelled to from Bristol, especially outside of the holiday season. For various reasons in recent ... Read the complete review

Bristol Airport is located just south of Bristol and is a very convienant regional airport. The airport is serviced by a number of airlines and it has flights to a wide variety of locations in the UK, Europe and Worldwide. You can fly as far away as Cancun, The Gambia or New York. The main flights out of the airport tend to by budget flights like Easyjet to destinations in Europe. I have flown twice from this airport, once to Bratislava and once to Germany. I should note that i haven't flown at peak times, I've normally got the cheapest flight which means leaving at random times so i can't comment on what it is like when its crazily busy. The airport is not ... Read the complete review
