Advantages: everything you need

Disadvantages: hard to get to

Bristol Airport is a good middle sized airport. It isn't as big as the main ones like Gatwick or Heathrow but isn't as small as others like Cardiff.

Bristol airport has everything you need from an airport. All the major airlines fly from there and most of the budget ones too including Easyjet which is great. If you don't live near London, Bristol is a great place to fly from.

Inside there are plenty of shops. Coffee shops, boots, WH Smith, duty free shops and bars. Everything you need while you're waiting for your flight. It is also clean and staff are friendly. The security is well planned so you're not witing hours and it is very efficient.

The only problem is it's in the middle of nowhere so it's not easy to get to if you're not driving. If you are are coming by train you have to get off in the town of Bristol and get a shuttle bus. This can end up being quite an expense. It's also not that easy to find if you're driving as it is so far away from everything.

Summary: good if you're miles from London
