Advantages: chocolate shop

Disadvantages: limited choice of food area

Brussels airport is a busy busy airport with a good mix of business and tourist travellers. I have flown here regular over the last five years and when compared to other airports at busy times it struggles to cope. I have known security line to take 45 minutes and when you consider large number are business travellers wwho know the ropes this is ridiculous.
Getting to and from Brussels airport is easy. TIP use the train to get into Brussels it is cheap fast and regular service when compared to a taxi where you can queue in the morning for 30 mins and then pay Euro40 for pleasure of the ride.
The airport check in is dated you check in walk through Passport Control which is usually a short queue. As you go in there is an excellent chocolate stall with a variety of the commercial brands for that last minute present.
The wait area is generally busy so I usually disappear to the BMI lounge upstairs for peace and quiet and a final free of charge Leffe beer. Flight delays are few and far between .

Summary: Not a place to spend time at
